Katie Holland: teacher – performer – choreographer – sacred dance therapist


Dancing from the age of three, Katie Holland began her Middle Eastern dance training in 1994. She is specialised in Egyptian style and has developed an authentic fusion. This fusion combines traditional dance techniques with her own unique interpretations.

Katie Holland is a highly sought after professional dancer, known for her amazing improvisations with live music. Katie is guided by a passion for exploring dance for self-empowerment, healing and spiritual development. Her love of, dedication and commitment to her dance shines through as she shares her knowledge in workshops and retreats around the world.


Who Katie has worked with

Some of the many world renowned musicians and dancers she has performed with include Simon Webster, Hossam and Serena Ramzy, DJ Cheb I Sabbah, Jon Sterckx, Saleh Heby, Sukhbir, Amani of Lebanon, Digital Samsara, Kundalini Airport, Infra-Red, Futji and Graeme of UB40. She has also worked with various Bollywood celebrities, fashion shows, product launches, film premiers, multi-national corporates, prestigious weddings and events for royalty, delegates, government ministers, wedding parties from all over Asia, West Indies, UK, Middle East and at countless 5 and 7* hotels across India. She was also the featured dancer for BBC World Music Award winning master maestro Abhishek Basu and his band ISM. You can also watch her in a highly acclaimed documentary by Digital Samsara.


Katie’s time in India

Katie performed in India as a solo dancer for nine years, as well as choreographing for her own troupes and performing as the lead ‘filmy’ dancer with Bollywood groups. Regarded as one of the best foreign performers in the country she was filmed and interviewed many times for National and International Indian television.
