World Groove Drum & Percussion Sets
Simon has created his “Total Groove” project. This project contains ten fusion style drum kit and world music percussion polyrhythms that can used as both a resource for loops and also as a songwriting tool.
Total Groove Funky Raï
The 10 grooves or styles:

Each groove contains the following at 4 different tempos:
- Drum kit stems and a “mix” (the mixes are for a quick import into a project, useful for song writing).
- Percussion parts stems and a “mix”.
- Percussion fills.
- A “total groove” mix.
Because the percussion parts change slightly according to tempo, the fact that each groove is recorded at four different tempos allows accurate and flexible time stretching within projects.
Total Groove Gnaoua Hip Hop
Simon brings producers a fresh level of flexibility and inspiration with his Total Groove project. Traditional percussion grooves sound great, but they can be tricky to fit into a modern mix. Drawing on global rhythms that have evolved over centuries, Simon blends cultural percussion and polyrhythms with contemporary drum kit grooves — creating patterns that lock together naturally in the studio.
As both a drum kit player and a world music percussionist with years of professional and home studio experience, Simon bridges the gap between traditional feel and modern production.
He offers World Music–inspired drum kit and percussion sets, including styles such as Latin, Brazilian, North African, Middle Eastern, and Afro-Funk. Each set includes full grooves and individual parts, giving producers the freedom to layer, mix, or strip back elements as needed.
Every drum kit groove acts as a “suggested” pattern — ready to use as-is or as a creative guide for building a track.
Unlike standard loop packs that recycle pure traditional rhythms, Simon’s approach gives context. His grooves pair authentic world percussion with Western drum kit parts designed to complement each other seamlessly. This unique blend helps producers tap into the energy of traditional music while staying rooted in a modern sound.
Each groove is delivered with its individual stems (kick, snare, hi-hat, etc.) so producers can fully customise their mix.

The “Funky Raï”, “Gnaoua Hip Hop” and the “Samba Funk” tracks all feature on this album and use the rhythms, arrangements and fills from the packages.
